Lack of Motivation can sap your energy and impede your development, even on things you used to enjoy. It’s a typical reaction to overwhelm, stress, or burnout. The first step to change is acknowledging the cause; you may then take incremental steps, set specific goals, and practice self-compassion to help you get back on track.
“Believe you can and you’re halfway .” -Theodore Roosevelt

Many people talk about motivation, but do you know how it actually works?
You must have read motivational books, heard motivational stories or listened to motivational speakers. All of these things are very motivating but only for as long as their impact lasts in your mind, which may be a few days or just a few hours. What happens after that?
You need motivation again and again. You remain motivated only as long as you are listening to that speaker or reading that inspiring book. But as soon as you return to your world from that zone, you forget everything and go back to doing your daily tasks with the same. Why does this happen? Have you ever thought about it?
These days, our needs are fewer but our desires are many. We manage to fulfil our needs, but we keep working hard and struggling to fulfil our desires. As soon as one desire is fulfilled, we start chasing another. And this cycle keeps going on.
If a desire is fulfilled, it brings satisfaction, but if not, it leads to frustration and increased stress. This stress grows so much in our lives that we end up struggling just to stay motivated.
I believe most of you must be facing similar problems. Because to be honest, I too have gone through such struggles at some point. Due to this stress, there is a lot of turmoil in the mind, which makes it difficult to think positively and stay motivated.
“ Dream big and dare to fail.” -Norman Vaughan
Friends don’t be afraid -you are not doing anything unusual. According to a WHO report, 1 in every 8 people suffers from some kind of mental disorder. Being stressed is not wrong, but staying in stress and not doing anything for your mental health is.
What if you always felt motivated for every task, never felt resistance in doing anything, and lived your life happily-how would that feel? Wouldn’t life become more enjoyable? So friends, I have brought some very easy methods for you-ones that you’ll actually enjoy doing, and that will keep you motivated in life without any stress.
- Listen Your Favourite Music
This is my favourite way to motivate myself. Science says that music activates the nerves that helps us feel calm. So whenever you feel stressed or demotivated, don’t forget to listen to your favourite music.

2. Reward Yourself
Give yourself small rewards to make yourself happy whenever you successfully complete a task. For example, treat yourself to a nice lunch, buy new clothes for yourself, or get a spa treatment etc.

3. Rejoice in Success of Others
Everyone feels happy about their own victories, but try being happy for someone else’s success- you’ll experience a sense of joy and feel stress-free.

4. Positive Affirmation
We often keep saying negative things about ourselves, like ‘I have bad luck, things always go wrong for me, or I am always unwell, etc.’ Sometimes, even our negative words stop us from being happy. Never speak badly about yourself-instead, whenever you get a chance, say good things about yourself and keep praising yourself.

5. Choose a Hobby
Choose any one hobby that brings you joy. Like for me, my hobby is writing. Writing helps reduce all my stress and anger, and I feel motivated. You must have a hobby too-identify it and give it a try. You’ll will definitely see positive results.

These are some of the simple methods I personally use to stay positive and motivated in life they are not very difficult to follow. You just need to take the first step and with consistency, you’ll start seeing unbelievable results. You will feel a positive change within yourself.
“The purpose of our lives is to be happy. -Dalai Lama

Conclusion: You’re Not by Yourself
Recognise that you are human and not defective or lazy if you are lacking motivation. The secret is to create circumstances that encourage motivation to return, rather than waiting for it to come on its own. Begin modestly. Keep your curiosity alive. Treat yourself with kindness. You’re capable.
Thank you for your help
Nice way, I will start implementing these in my daily ylife
